Reasons for recommending: Writestuff's Warrior's Heart sequence is now novels long, and she's revised the story order a few times. But, in order of being written, Master and Apprentice was second (it has now been demoted to 10th); and it contained the starting point of the whole story arc which, for me, was beautifully concluded in Emancipation. Both stories share an understanding of the freedoms and limitations of a relationship between not-equals, given a physical representation in some of the hottest sex ever written for TPM. Writestuff understands perfectly that the most erotic writing is, in fact, an exploration of character.
