clarification

Way back in July, splix recced Pumpkin's Snapshots series. Somehow, I managed to miss adding it to the memories. Yesterday, batagur also recced "Snapshots." When splix pointed out it was a repeat, she alertly came up with Plan B, "In the End Is My Beginning," also a fine choice.

So, since we don't really need two "Snapshots" recs, I added the original rec to the memories and deleted the second. batagur still has a rec out there, and all is right with the world.

I've been trying to go by what the author prefers, case-wise, but I know there are inconsistencies. The problem with changing them is that LJ considers the edited entries to be "new," so they're out of order when sorted by date. Do you think that's worth it? I'm not sure.

Ah, hmm...I've never used the sort by date feature as it doesn't seem especially usefull in this case... I would think sorting by title or author would be most helpful, and if people just wanted to read the recs in chronological order they could do so from the calendar page.

As for how the author prefers, normally that's something I'd take into consideration, but I think in this case the site should be organized more for what's easiest for the readers rather than the stylistic choices of the authors.

Personally, I never look at them sorted by date, and I agree with Grace that it'd be lots easier to tell what's in the memories if the capitalization were consistent. :)

Actually, I updated everything yesterday, so it should be alphabetized correctly now.
