This is another one of those first TPM fan-fic stories I read way back in '99. It's from a series of heart-warming stories about Obi-Wan and Anakin just after they become master and padawan, written by two sisters. For a few years, they had their own website but that has since disappeared. Most of the stories are still on fanfic.net.

It is flawed but enjoyable none-the-less. Formatting on Fanfic.net is not always the best but I thought it was worth it.

What keeps me coming back to these stories, is Obi-Wan and Anakin's growing relationship. There is a genuiness and combination of humour and seriousness that gives the stories warmth. The first one is a lovely introduction and it is followed up by two others, that allude to a coming darkness, yet still retain the warmth of the first story. Other stories in the series include "House of Cards" which is somewhat darker and an excellent follow-up, and "Sofa, So Good"
There were others written my Smitty's sister but they have since disappeard from the net.

Edit: Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] jedi_rita for finding the complete series. My favourtie in the series, is the lightly humourous "All Star" http://jhswstories.8m.com/allstar.html You can find a link to the rest of the Malastare series here as well.

"Anakin!" Obi-Wan pounded on the door.
"Come in." The door slid open, and Obi-Wan burst into the room.
Anakin was sitting in the middle of his bed.
"Come on. Pack your things. All of them."
"Are we going on a mission," Anakin asked, already knowing the
answer. Or are you throwing me out? he wondered.
"No. Anakin, we're going away from the Temple. We're going to
train you as you should be trained. No more runny-nosed little brats
boasting about their training or ugly missions you aren't ready to go on."
Obi-Wan almost sounded excited. This was the first emotion
Anakin had really seen from him. He turned a disbelieving gaze on the
older man.
"You mean you didn't rat me out?"
"Rat you out?" Obi-Wan stared at him.
"Yeah...you know, tell the Council how horrible I did on the last
mission."
"Oh, well, we did sit around and tell Stupid Padawan stories for a
few hours, and it might have come up a few times--" Obi-Wan stopped
when he saw the stricken look on Anakin's face. "Anakin, I'm joking. I
would never make fun of you to the Council. You really think Master
Yoda and Master Windu sit around and tell Stupid Padawan stories?"

I adore the Malastare series! I used to have them bookmarked, but I switched ISP and lost it. They were all on some other site, other than ff.n. I'll see if I can track them down, but don't hold your breath.

The one I found them on was something like "The Jedi Temple." Now if only I could remember where I found that link...

Hey, look what I found! It's not the site I was thinking of, but it has all the Malastare series. Click here. (http://jhswstories.8m.com/kidnapped.html)

Here's one more that wasn't part of the Malastare Series:

Special Sauce (http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Guild/9916/special_sauce.htm)

This was a cute story about Obi-Wan's futile attempt to get some of Mace Windu's "kickass mo-fo bitchin' BBQ Bantha ribs."

BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Man oh man! Who found this? Rita? Talk about a blast from the past! I made that damn site like what, eons ago? I can't believe it's still up!!! I took down all the indices, but I guess I left the actual stories floating out there in cyberspace.

Oh, and the borders are like that just 'cause it was suppose to be a pop up page with a smaller size.

Can't believe you guys found it. =D
