various stuff about links

Just FYI, the links section on the main [livejournal.com profile] tpm_flashback page now has recs by date, recs by author and recs by title. If you're looking to see what stories have been recommended, that's a good place to start. The user info page has links to archives that have a lot of good stories.

If you have other sites you'd like to see linked to, let me know. Two requirements:
  1. They have to be archives for lots of authors. If we start listing individual authors' sites, the page will go on forever. There are other sources for that.

  2. They have to generally be reliable sources of *good* stories. Fanfiction.net doesn't count. I know that's subjective, and I know not everyone will agree on which archives meet this requirement, but it's what I'd at least like to shoot for.

Also, I'm still looking for artwork, if anyone feels inspired.

What sort of art are you looking for?

I've got a general question about this community. So far, all the recs have been Q/O (sometimes with special guests). Will there be any non-Q/O recs coming, or is this a Q/O community?

Thanks.

I've been out of TPM fandom for so long that I don't think I'd really be appropriate. Plus, I befriended all of my favorite authors, so I'd hate to look as if I were playing favorites with my buddies ;)

The befriending thing...I came up against the same issue, and even worse, because I plan to rec some stories from the current reccers! But then I just had to say to myself: does it really care how it looks? The stories speak for themselves by their quality, not because they were written by people I now know and would hopefully count as friends. (And, like yourself, I often became friends with them *because of* those stories, not the other way around.)

As for being out of the fandom a long time: then your choices would be sure to come within the age definition of classic, at least :)
